Erdinc Tatar is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Dept. at Bilkent University and is affiliated with the National Nanotechnology Center of Turkey (UNAM). He received B.S. and M.S. degrees (with high honors) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, in 2008, 2010, and 2016 respectively.
He was a graduate research assistant at METU MEMS Research and Applications Center and Carnegie Mellon University. From 2016 to 2019, he worked on high-performance gyroscopes as a MEMS Design Engineer at Analog Devices, Inc., Wilmington, MA. His research interests include MEMS sensors (specifically Inertial and Gas sensors), microfabrication and packaging technologies, and readout and control electronics for MEMS sensors. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems (JMEMS). He has served as a TPC member for the IEEE MEMS and an organizing committee member for the IEEE Inertial conferences.
Dr. Tatar is a recipient of the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Fellowship by the European Union, and International Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
